Kerala Electricity Tariff FY 2025–26

The Kerala Electricity Tariff FY 2025–26 is regulated by the Kerala State Electricity Regulatory Commission (KSERC) under the Multi-Year Tariff Order effective from 05 December 2024 to 31 March 2027. In addition to the applicable tariff rates, consumers are required to pay Electricity Duty at 10% of energy charges and Fuel Surcharge Adjustment (FSA) as revised periodically by the utility.

Domestic Electricity Tariff (LT-1)

Domestic consumers in Kerala are billed under a telescopic slab system, where different rates apply to different portions of monthly consumption.

Commercial Electricity Tariff (LT-3)

Commercial consumers, including shops, offices, retail establishments, and service providers, are billed according to the approved LT-3 tariff category.

Note: Electricity Duty of 10% on energy charges is applicable in addition to the tariff.

Industrial Electricity Tariff (LT-4)

Low Tension industrial consumers are billed according to the LT-4 tariff category.

Note: Time-of-Day (ToD) tariff is mandatory for all LT-IV industrial consumers.

Industrial High Tension (HT-II) Tariff

HT-II consumers represent a key category for commercial and industrial power users, including open access consumers.

Industrial Extra High Tension (EHT) Tariff

Extra High Tension consumers connected at 66 kV and above are billed under the EHT category.

Typical EHT consumers include large manufacturing facilities, cement plants, paper mills, and rubber processing industries.

Time-of-Day (ToD) Tariff

Kerala has adopted a comprehensive Time-of-Day tariff framework to encourage electricity consumption during periods of high solar generation and reduce peak demand on the grid.
