Waaree Renewable Technologies Wins 800 MWac Solar EPC Projects in India
July 27, 2026
Waaree Renewable Technologies Limited (Waaree RTL) has secured two Letters of Award (LoAs) for the execution of commercial Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects for ground-mounted solar plants in India.
According to the company’s regulatory filing, the two projects have capacities of 400 MWac/530 MWp and 400 MWac/552 MWp, taking the combined order size to 800 MWac and 1,082 MWp. The projects are scheduled for completion during FY2027-28.
The latest awards strengthen Waaree RTL’s solar EPC portfolio as India’s renewable energy sector continues to expand. The company already has a pipeline of large ground-mounted solar projects as well as battery energy storage system (BESS) projects.
Waaree RTL’s latest investor presentation showed an unexecuted Transmission & Distribution (T&D) order book of around ₹2,700 crore, alongside an unexecuted Solar + BESS EPC order book worth ₹2,600 crore.
The company’s existing solar EPC portfolio includes a 450 MWp ground-mounted solar project awarded in Q1 FY27, a 420 MWp project secured in Q4 FY26 and a 35 MWp project also awarded in Q4 FY26.
Additional projects in its pipeline include solar projects ranging from 14 MWp to 217.5 MWp, along with several smaller projects.
Beyond solar EPC, Waaree RTL has also secured a 1,520 MWh BESS EPC project, highlighting the growing importance of energy storage alongside renewable generation.
The company has additionally secured a 1,000 MWp ground-mounted solar power project, reinforcing its presence in India’s utility-scale renewable energy market.
The new orders come as India continues to expand solar generation capacity and invest in associated transmission and storage infrastructure. Large-scale EPC contracts are expected to remain an important part of the renewable energy value chain as developers build utility-scale solar projects across the country.
The combination of solar generation, battery storage and transmission infrastructure is increasingly important for integrating variable renewable power into India’s electricity grid.
For Waaree RTL, the latest 800 MWac award adds significant capacity to its EPC pipeline and strengthens its position in India’s rapidly growing solar infrastructure market.
