Waaree Power Starts 3 GW Solar Inverter Plant in Gujarat

News Date December 30, 2025

Waaree Power, a wholly owned unit of Waaree Energies, has started commercial production at a new solar inverter manufacturing facility in Sarodhi-Valsad, Gujarat, with a combined annual capacity of about 3.05 gigawatts, the company said. The two production lines, each able to produce around 1.525 GW of inverters used in solar power systems, began operations on December 29, 2025.

The new plant will make both single-phase and three phase on-grid solar inverters, which convert power from solar panels into usable electricity for the grid. Located within Waaree Power’s existing factory, the facility is part of Waaree Energies’ strategy to broaden its manufacturing footprint across the renewable energy value chain and support the rising demand for domestically produced solar equipment in India’s expanding clean energy market.

In its regulatory filing to Indian stock exchanges, Waaree Energies noted that the commissioning of the Gujarat facility strengthens its position in the solar equipment sector and aligns with India’s broader goals of increasing local production and reducing import dependency. The new inverter plant adds to Waaree’s growing manufacturing capabilities, which already include significant solar module and cell production capacity in India and abroad.
