Shakti Pumps (India) Ltd has secured significant work orders to supply and install off-grid solar water pumping systems in the states of Haryana and Madhya Pradesh under the Government of India’s PM-KUSUM scheme, the company announced in regulatory filings.

The Haryana Renewable Energy Department has placed an order with Shakti Pumps for 792 solar water pumping systems worth about ₹23.54 crore, covering design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning, to be completed within 90 days. Additionally, the company received a separate order from the Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited for 1,952 off-grid solar pumping systems valued at approximately ₹67.32 crore, with an execution timeline of 120 days.

These contracts are part of Component B of the PM-KUSUM (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan) programme, which aims to promote solar irrigation for farmers by replacing diesel pumps with clean energy solutions. The agreements underscore Shakti Pumps’ expanding role in India’s renewable energy and agricultural support sectors, strengthening its presence in solar irrigation infrastructure across multiple states.
