NHPC Announces 2026 Plan to Boost Clean Energy, Growth and India’s Energy Security

NHPC Limited’s Chairman and Managing Director Bhupendra Gupta has set out the company’s strategic vision for 2026, prioritizing expansion in clean energy, sustainable development and stronger energy security for India. The plan was unveiled at a special program held at NHPC’s corporate office in Faridabad on January 1, attended by top executives and senior staff. 

Gupta highlighted the organization’s achievements over the past year and outlined key goals for the coming period, stressing the importance of innovation, operational excellence and nation-building through renewable power initiatives. He reaffirmed NHPC’s focus on transitioning to cleaner energy sources while also fostering community development and strengthening the company’s role in securing the nation’s energy needs. 

Senior directors at NHPC spoke on various aspects of the strategy, including improving project execution, enhancing workforce capability, maintaining high standards in technology and safety, and ensuring prudent financial management to support sustainable growth. The vision underscores NHPC’s commitment to expanding its renewable energy footprint and contributing to India’s long-term energy resilience.
