Fourth Partner Energy has secured ₹780 crore in refinancing from NIIF Infrastructure Finance Limited (NIIF IFL) for a large portion of its rooftop solar portfolio in India. The deal aims at strengthening the company’s clean energy business by improving financial flexibility and supporting future growth.

Fourth Partner Energy currently has about 370 MW of rooftop solar capacity across 24 Indian states, which provides clean power to large corporate customers. The refinancing was arranged with a single lender for most of the company’s rooftop solar assets, reflecting confidence in its business model and the sector’s growth potential.

According to the company, NIIF IFL was selected due to its strong background of infrastructure lending and an understanding of distributed solar projects. The refinancing process has been completed in record time, showcasing strong cooperation between the two sides.Apart from rooftop solar, Fourth Partner Energy has executed a diversified renewable energy portfolio comprising more than 1.2 GW of open access projects and the development of over 800 MW of wind-solar hybrid capacity. Battery energy storage systems with over 50 MWh capacity are being implemented to provide secure power to customers. The goal is to take its total installed base to 9 GW by 2031.This deal is perceived as a strong indication of investor confidence in India’s renewable energy sector and also acts as a model for future sustainable financing solutions.
