India's Power Sector Enters a Value Chain Reset Led by Transmission Expansion

India’s power sector is entering a transformative phase, with transmission infrastructure emerging as the backbone of the country’s clean energy transition. As renewable energy capacity continues to expand, the focus is shifting beyond generation to strengthening the power transmission network, ensuring reliable electricity delivery, and supporting large-scale grid integration.

According to industry estimates, India’s installed power capacity is expected to approach 900 GW by FY32, driven by rapid growth in solar, wind, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and green hydrogen projects.
