Inox Green Offers About ₹600 Crore to Buy Wind World’s Service Business

News Date February 12, 2026

New Delhi – Inox Green Energy has submitted a competitive bid in the range of ₹550 crore to ₹600 crore to acquire the operations and maintenance (O&M) unit of Wind World India, the company said, as part of a court-supervised sale process. Wind World India’s renewable energy service business, which provides O&M support for wind assets totaling over 4.5 gigawatts (GW), is being auctioned while the firm undergoes insolvency proceedings before the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT).

Under the ongoing process, Inox Green Energy’s offer will now be reviewed by the NCLT for approval before the sale can proceed. Wind World’s O&M services cover wind power plants owned by major energy groups, and the acquisition would significantly expand Inox Green’s footprint in the wind energy services sector if confirmed.

The O&M unit being bid on is responsible for long-term upkeep and performance services at existing wind farms, a vital role for keeping renewable plants operating efficiently. Wind World’s clients include several large renewable players, and acquiring its O&M portfolio would give Inox Green access to established service contracts and infrastructure.

Inox Green Energy, part of the broader Inox group of companies, has been active in the renewable sector and recently benefited from fresh investment in its affiliate Inox Clean Energy, which raised significant capital from global investors. Supporters of the bid see this move as part of wider consolidation in the renewable energy servicing market in India, where specialized operations and maintenance expertise is increasingly valuable.
