NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Ltd. (NVVN) has officially issued an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) tender for a 3 MW rooftop solar installation at the Bank Note Press in Dewas, Madhya Pradesh. The tender requires interested companies to submit their bids by March 9, 2026, with the technical and financial offers to be opened the following day.

The tender calls for an earnest money deposit of ₹2 million and mandates that the successful bidder provide a contract performance security equal to 10 % of the total contract value. The scope of work includes detailed rooftop assessment, system design, procurement, civil and structural work, installation, testing, commissioning, and five years of operation and maintenance (O&M) services. The project must be completed within 240 days of award, followed by a one-year defect liability period after which the O&M phase begins.

Eligibility criteria require bidders to have completed similar EPC rooftop or ground-mounted solar projects over the past seven years, with specified minimum project values, as well as an average annual turnover of at least ₹52.7 million over the past three financial years and a positive net worth without excessive erosion. During the O&M period, additional security based on expected energy generation must be furnished, and liquidated damages for commissioning delays are capped at 10 % of the contract price. Only Class I and Class II local suppliers using Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) solar modules and cells are eligible to participate.
