News Date January 2, 2026

Hyderabad-based Premier Energies has won new contracts worth ₹23.07 billion to supply solar cells and modules during the third quarter of the financial year 2026, the company announced. The deals, secured from a mix of independent power producers and other domestic customers in India, are scheduled to be fulfilled across financial years 2027 and 2028.

Premier Energies said the substantial order intake enhances its revenue outlook and supports its plans to expand manufacturing capacity. The firm intends to scale its solar cell capacity to 10.6 GW and module capacity to 11.1 GW by September 2026. Currently, it operates facilities with 3.2 GW of cell and 5.1 GW of module production.

To bolster its supply chain, Premier is building an aluminum frame manufacturing plant with an initial annual capacity of 18,000 metric tons, aimed for commissioning by March 2027, with eventual plans to reach 36,000 tons per year. The project is backed by Premier-Green Aluminum, a joint venture that recently moved to raise ₹600 million in phased investments.

The company has also strengthened its shareholding structure in this JV by issuing 25,000 equity shares to its partner, Nuevosol Energy, resulting in Premier Energies holding 80 % and Nuevo sol 20 %.Premier’s broader international footprint includes contracts won in Benin, West Africa, to install 750 rooftop solar systems across public facilities. Additionally, the firm recently commissioned a 1.2 GW TOPCon solar cell line in Hyderabad, lifting its cell output capacity from 2 GW to 3.2 GW as part of its strategy for integrated manufacturing.
