Renewable Energy Stocks Fall on February 19 as Market Trends Turn Negative

News Date February 19, 2026

Shares of several leading renewable energy companies in India declined on the stock market on Thursday, February 19, as investor sentiment remained cautious across the green energy sector. Key clean energy stocks including Waaree Energies, ACME Solar Holdings, NTPC Green Energy and Adani Green Energy all traded in negative territory during the mid-day session.

Shares of Waaree Energies were down about 1.6 %, trading near ₹2,916 on the National Stock Exchange, with the company’s market valuation close to ₹83,896 crore. ACME Solar Holdings also declined, down roughly 0.75 % to around ₹229 per share despite its subsidiary signing a long-term power purchase agreement for a 190 MW wind-solar hybrid project. NTPC Green Energy stock slipped nearly 0.5 %, trading near ₹89, while Adani Green Energy shares fell by about 0.35 % to close around ₹996. The modest downturn reflected wider market pressures on renewable energy equities on that trading day.
