Tiger Logistics Expands in Western India to Tap Growing Solar Trade Demand

News Date February 24, 2026

Tiger Logistics (India) Limited has announced a strategic expansion of its operations in Western India as demand for solar export-import (EXIM) logistics continues to rise with the country’s renewable energy industry growth. The logistics firm is deepening its presence in Gujarat—a key hub for solar module and cell manufacturing—by appointing a dedicated General Manager for the region to strengthen customer service, operational control and responsiveness across major accounts.

The company’s renewable energy division, TiGreen, currently handles around 2,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) of solar cargo per month, much of it linked to Gujarat-based manufacturers and exporters. Tiger Logistics expects this volume to increase by 40 %–45 % over the next year, supported by a strong pipeline of solar clients in the region and expanding capacity in the supply chain.

The expansion aligns with broader solar industry trends, including plans for substantial additional cell manufacturing capacity and government programmes such as the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, which are driving increased demand for solar components and related logistics services. Tiger Logistics aims to leverage stronger regional leadership and enhanced infrastructure to offer more efficient and reliable logistics solutions for the renewable energy sector’s growing EXIM flows.
