Solar Tariffs

The Maharashtra Electricity Tariff FY 2025–26 is regulated by the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) and implemented by electricity distribution utilities across the state. The tariff structure covers domestic, commercial, industrial, agricultural, and High Tension (HT) consumers, with category-specific energy charges, fixed charges, and Time-of-Day (ToD) provisions. Domestic Electricity Tariff

Domestic consumers are billed according to monthly electricity consumption and applicable fixed charges.

Commercial Electricity Tariff

Commercial consumers, including shops, offices, retail establishments, and service businesses, are billed according to their connected load and tariff category.

Industrial Electricity Tariff

Industrial consumers are categorized according to supply voltage and contract demand.

High Tension (HT) Tariff

HT consumers are billed based on energy consumption and contract demand.

Time-of-Day (ToD) Tariff

Maharashtra has adopted a Time-of-Day tariff structure to encourage consumption during solar generation hours and reduce peak demand.

The revised ToD framework encourages consumers to shift electricity usage to daytime periods when solar generation is highest.
