SECI Announces Winners of 1.2 GW Firm and Despatchable Renewable Power Auction

News Date February 6, 2026

New Delhi — The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has declared the successful bidders in its 1.2 GW firm and despatchable renewable energy (FDRE) auction, which includes energy storage capacity to deliver reliable clean power during peak demand hours. The competitive auction, aimed at securing dependable renewable power with storage support, attracted strong interest from developers and was floated in October 2025.

Under the tender results, Adyant Enersol secured 100 MW of contracted capacity at a tariff of ₹6.27 per kilowatt-hour, while Serentica Renewables India, AMPIN Energy Utility Nine, and ACME Solar Holdings were awarded 600 MW, 199 MW and 301 MW respectively at tariffs of ₹6.28 per kilowatt-hour.

The FDRE auction requires projects to guarantee delivery of 4 kWh per megawatt for each of four selected peak hours every day, ensuring firm power supply when it is most needed. Successful bidders are also responsible for securing land, obtaining all necessary clearances and approvals, and establishing connectivity with the interstate transmission system or relevant state network to integrate the projects into the grid.

This auction is part of SECI’s broader effort to foster renewable energy solutions that go beyond variable solar and wind output, incorporating storage to provide assured clean power to meet India’s peak electricity demand. The results reflect growing confidence in hybrid renewable-plus-storage models that support grid stability and energy reliability.
