Inox Clean Energy Plans ₹10,000 Crore IPO as Renewable Energy Platform Expands

News Date September 7, 2026

Inox Clean Energy is preparing for a major public-market debut as India’s renewable-energy sector continues to attract substantial capital. The company is reportedly planning a ₹10,000 crore initial public offering and could file draft documents with the Securities and Exchange Board of India by the end of September or early October 2026.

The proposed IPO could value the company at around ₹1 lakh crore, with the promoters, who currently own about 95% of the company, reportedly looking to dilute around 10% of their stake.

Through Inox Neo Energies, the company develops, acquires and operates wind, solar and hybrid renewable-energy projects. Its solar-manufacturing subsidiary, Inox Solar, manufactures solar modules and cells in India and the United States.

This integrated model gives the company exposure to multiple parts of the renewable-energy value chain, from generation and manufacturing to project development and expansion through acquisitions.

According to sources cited by Moneycontrol, the proposed ₹10,000 crore IPO proceeds are expected to be used primarily for further acquisitions and reducing debt. Nuvama, JM Financial and Emirates NBD are reportedly advising the company on the proposed offering.

The fundraising comes after an aggressive period of expansion in which Inox Clean Energy has announced or completed 10 strategic acquisitions across India and international markets.

One of the company’s largest recent transactions was its ₹6,000 crore acquisition of Vena Energy India. The acquired portfolio includes approximately 1 GW of operational renewable capacity, alongside solar, wind and battery-energy-storage assets under construction and development.

Following the transaction, Inox Clean Energy’s operating and near-operational portfolio reached around 4 GW, while its solar and wind development pipeline exceeded 12 GW, with around 2.5 GWh of BESS in the pipeline.

The company has also acquired or expanded through assets associated with Vibrant Energy, SunSource Energy, SkyPower and Evergreen Power.
